Kiasma - art wonder

While being in Helsinki (Finland) I visited “Kiasma” museum of contemporary arts. This is the first museum I have ever seen which tried not to educate its visitors but conjure up creative, funny, serious and simply interesting thoughts in their minds. It makes its visitors cry and smile when adjoining the piece of art, but not just watch, as it is mainly in Russia. “Kiasma” is also the museum which is active in the field of innovative marketing, fundraising, corporate cooperation. It tries to establish not just stable relationships with its corporate and other partners, but very special and reliable. Every person can become a friend of “Kiasma”, that lets this museum enlarge the group of its weak and tight ties.

My friend Julia Broido and I saw a written feedback on “Kiasma” from a Russian man: “Hi. I am from St. Petersburg. One day we will also have Kiasma”. On what Julia who works in the field of culture replied with sarcasm: “It is not quite possible”. There is still no place for “Kiasma” in Russia.
